SAP Basics
/I – close/delete the current opened session
/o – displays the overall session; select the session & click on end button or generate.
/o + tcode – will initiate the specific transaction in new session/window
/n – cancel the current transaction
/n + t code – run another program in another session
/nend – end all current sessions with confirmation box
/nex – end all current sessions without confirmation
How to check the SAP System version – Menu bar (system - status)
Create new logons:
SAP Logon – New – connection –
Choose connection type
Enter description -IDES2
Enter application server – 192.23.4.5.
Instance number - 00
System id – SAP (AT1, ERD) – Must be unique
and click next.
Choose network settings – next
Choose default as language
Choose ANSI for Unicode systems in Encoding field
Click finish.
Click edit to change the sys and del if we want to
Customize Layout – ALT+F12 – Options – colour settings/define custom colours – apply
User Maintenance:
SU01 – maintain and manage users.
To change password – click the pencil icon
Enter username to see; also we can change our info.
Go to defaults tab – to change the language and the format of
Decimal; date; time
System (in menu bar) – User profile – own data – can change our info
SU53 – Display authorization data for user
SE38 – ABAP Editor
SE16 – Data Browser: Initial screen (enter Table Name)
SE80 – ABAP Development workbench
(while entering program – if you forgot the program and you remember 3-4 characters
Entering SU* and press F4)
To copy the program – press CNTRL + Y
SUIM – User Information system
SE01 –
is the main screen of the Change and transport Organizer. From here the
administrator can achieve all tasks related to transport requests - such as
create, change, view logs, display client/delivery transports, etc
In search fields – we can find the relative data if we keep * infront of description and
the end of description (*Forklift*)
INS vs OVR
OVR mode – new content will overwrite the previous content.
INS Mode – it will not overwrite the previous content.
SID – SAP System identification (a three-character code such as AT1, ERD etc)
