SUMMARY: Students will start a new unit on Body. This lesson students will be introduced to parts of t
body through drilling, a game and a song.
AIMS (4Cs)

Content: Body parts and actions.

Communication: Singulars and plurals; body vocabulary (head, arm, hand, leg, toes, foot/feet, knee, shou
eyes, ears, mouth, nose); actions.

Cognition: For learners to identify body parts and perform actions (nod your head, etc).

Culture: For learners to work together as a class to support each other's learning.

TIMETABLE FIT: This lesson is the first on this new unit. After this lesson, learners will be exposed to
content using other skills (reading and writing).

ASSESSMENT: Teacher observation of learner understanding and participation in activities.

ASSUMPTIONS: Students may already know the concepts in their L1.

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS:

- Some activities may take longer than expected, so the teacher will have to remind students of the t
- Students may get too noisy during activities. The teacher will have to monitor students’ behaviour
- Students may use L1 to participate. The teacher will allow but will help them to recast it in Englis

- The pronunciation of some words and structures may be a challenge for some learners, so the teac
has to practise more with these students by repeating.
