The saying "Pen is Mightier than the Sword,", actually means that a pen's ability
and impact are greater and mightier compared to those of a sword. The sole
outcome of using a sword is death, defeat, and other negative outcomes.

The overall cost for any side in a conflict, even the one that wins, is the loss of
numerous lives, while a pen could be used to write. Our knowledge,
understanding, and wisdom are provided to us through literary works with a pen,
and these things stay with us always. We will always remember the lessons that
were taught to us by the stories and narratives that our elders, parents, teachers,
and the others told to us when we were little.

The power of the pen can also be understood from the fact that one incorrect
answer written on the answer sheet during exams, tests, etc. might fall heavily on
us. We are able to know about history, geography, religion, science, etc. all by
reading, and the pen plays an important role in letting the writer pen down the
important knowledge and information for the generations to come.

Writing has the power to enhance or degrade the image of political leaders,
actors, athletes, and others. The writer must be really cautious and mindful about
the strength of the pen and write wisely. No writer must display his or her
personal grudge through writing. Writing can create peace during wars and may
create wars during peace, since we all know that the "pen is mightier than the
sword."
