1 The user inserts a cassette into the cassette insertion slot in the insertion unit.
The sensor at the insertion slot determines whether the object is a cassette and reads the bar code if it is a
cassette.
The shutter at the cassette insertion slot opens, and the cassette is moved down onto the receiver.
2 According to the bar code data on the cassette, the receiver of the elevating unit moves down to fit the
cassette, and the cassette is held by the width adjustment mechanism.
The transport unit catches the back plate, and the locking/unlocking mechanism unlocks the cassette.
3 The transport unit transports the back plate to the reading position.
4 The optical and erase parts read the image data on the plate while moving to the second front.
5 The optical and erase parts erase the image data from the plate while moving to the back of the second front.
6 The transport unit transports the back plate and presses it against the front plate.
The locking/unlocking mechanism locks the cassette.
7 The shutter at the cassette insertion slot opens, and the receiver holding the cassette moves up.
8 The user takes out the cassette that has been ejected in the cassette insertion slot.
The shutter shuts after the cassette is taken out.
