TPACK Lesson Plan

Name and Grade Level: STEM 12

Title: Ohm’s Law
Lesson Length: 1 Hour
MELCS:

1. Given an emf source connected to a resistor, determine the power supplied or dissipated by
each element in a circuit STEM_GP12EM- IIIe-42

2. Solve problems involving current, resistivity, resistance, and Ohm’s law in contexts such as,
but not limited to, batteries and bulbs, household wiring, and selection of fuses.

3. Operate devices for measuring currents and voltages STEM_GP12EM- IIIe-45

Pedagogy:
Assessment Plan: Check off which apply/notes on how

  ____: Informal ___x__: Formal  __x__: Formative ___x__: Summative

Technology for Learners being used:

After the lesson learners will be using laptops, smartphones, and tablets to play the
Classcraft.
Technology for Teacher being used:
Classcraft: I will make game-based learning integrating the lesson on Ohm’s Law.
What 21st Century Skills are Students Using?

Critical Thinking: Learners will analyze the appropriate solutions to answer the problems.

Creating: Learners will create their own schematic diagram by using appropriate and correct
electrical symbols.

Communication: Learners can submit their questions and other inquiries on the discussion
tab of classcraft.

Collaboration: Learners will make a simple vlog or a short video regarding tips to save
electrical energy at home and safety measures.
Essential Vocabulary: Ohm’s Law, Electricity, voltage, current, resistance, Electrical flow.
Materials: Laptop, Tablet, Smartphones, TV/Projector
Introduction (Engagement): I will introduce Ohm’s Law to the class using classcraft to have a
fu-learning and engaging activity. And give brief introduction on classcraft and its
functions/functional tabs.
Lesson: (Explore)
After introducing the lesson, give the learners some time to read the overview of the lesson
and continue answering the quest in the classcraft. The learners should be able to create
their own simple circuit and answer the given task in the classcraft.

NOTE: Learners are not allowed to proceed to the next activities without finishing the
required task.
Modifications (Explain and Elaborate) : The learners may ask clarifications and other
questions while doing the quests on the discussion tab of classcraft. Both the teacher and
learners can answer the questions asked and clarifications submitted on the discussion tab to
maximized interaction within the class.

The teacher can monitor the activities done by the learners on the class dashboard of
classcraft.
Enrichment (Evaluate): Learners will be able to make a reflection on importance of electricity
and how the electricity flows within the household and other appliances.
