Detailed Lesson Plan in Bread and Pastry 11

July 13, 2022 / 10:00am – 12:00pm

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a) Identify the baking tools and equipment according to the uses and purposes
b) Learners will be able to value the importance of different baking tools and equipment and their
function by collaborative group discussion
c) Demonstrate the uses of tools and equipment in baking

1. Pastry Blender- is a cooking utensil used to mix


a hard (solid) fat into flour in order to
make pastries

2. Pastry wheel -kitchen utensil used for


cutting pastry dough as it is being formed and
prepared for baking.

3. Biscuit and Doughnut cutter- is a special hand-


held and operated cutting tool for making
doughnuts. In rolled out dough, it cuts out a circle,
and then a small circle at the center of that circle.

4. Paring Knife -The paring knife is a small, short-
bladed knife, used for intricate cutting, peeling,
mincing and
dicing.

enameled metal, silicone, heat-proof glass, ceramic
or terracotta.

4. Muffin pan- A muffin or cupcake tray is a mold


in which muffins or cupcakes are baked.

5. Baking sheet - sheet pan, baking tray or baking


sheet is a flat, rectangular metal pan used in an
oven. It is often used for baking bread rolls,
pastries and flat products such as cookies, sheet
cakes, Swiss rolls and pizzas.
