Audience And Institution Of Cars 2

Cars 2 sees favourites from the previous film, cars, Mater and race car Lightning McQueen once again go through an adventure together. The film starts with the now four time winner of the piston cup, Lightning McQueen, returning to his new home, Radiator Springs, where he is reunited with his best friend Mater, and his new girlfriend, Sally. Once he arrives, news reaches him of a new grand prix race created to advertise bio fuels. At first Lightning refuses to enter the news race. But with a challenge from his new rival, Francesco Bernoulli, he decides to accept the task. This sends Lightning around the world, and with some persuading by Sally, he decides to take Mater with him. But Lightning had no idea that this decision would drop him and his best friend into the middle of a secret spy operation. This film is an animation adventure and comedy film aimed towards young children. It is aimed at small kids because the plot itself and as the characters are all talking cars, this would seem most appropriate to a child audience. This may also range towards kids of around 12 that have already seen the first film and want to know how the adventure continues. This is also represented in the films certificate rating of a U. The budget for the film was 200 million U.S dollars. The director of the film was John Lasseter. This was a typical job for him as he oversees most of the Pixar movies that are created. Examples of films he has directed before are; Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2 and both of the Cars films. His Co Director was typical animation director, Brad Lewis. Lewiss previous work includes the film Antz, but while working for Pixar he also directed the Oscar winning film, Ratatouille. The voice cast for the characters featured in the previous film remains the same with Owen Wilson again starring as Lightning McQueen. He is once again joined by Larry the cable guy or Daniel Lawrence Whitney as Mater and Bonnie Hunt as Sally. However, this film also sees many news faces added to the adventure. Including Tubbs Pacer, voiced by co Director Brad Lewis. The Film also brings a lot of new well known stars to its casting list too. Some of these include Eddie Izzard as Miles Axlerod, Michael Caine as Finn McMissile and Formula one driver Lewis Hamilton, as himself. The studio that produced the film is Pixar. Pixar is currently owned by The Walt Disney Company. The technology that was used was digital 3D. This was probably used because most of all films that are now created use 3D as it is now a very easily used, realistic piece of technology which involves the viewer in the film more. This may be
