Many people are able to share their ideas through the LEGO Ideas community.

Using
the community website, you can interact with other members, browse for sale sets, and submit
ideas for publication. Creating via social media enables creators to reach out directly to people
they want to please and to get feedback from them directly. You can see a glimpse of many
activities on the website, but that is just the beginning. There is more to LEGO Ideas than just
looking at LEGO sets or discussing LEGOS. It helps people meet and share their creative
ambitions and release their creative juices.
The website allows users who are creators to submit photos of LEGO sets they have built
using either LEGO bricks or a virtual building tool. A community member or group can create a
set based on a favorite theme or create a set based on an original theme. Many creators can
benefit from the community's recognition and feedback. By uploading a photo and describing
what the set demonstrates, creators can tell us what their creation represents. Ideas can be
published by creators if they wish. LEGO sets can be built and shared by community members.
You can also release creative ideas on the community page. A support button is not available
on the community page, but the ideas page has this feature. Small comic pages can be created
by members or short stop-motion videos can be posted.
Members of the community may also post instructions or links to videos showing how to
build their creations once they have posted them. Alternatively, interested community members
can order individual sets from the LEGO website or use the extra bricks they receive from all
their LEGO sets. Providing a space for communication as well as gaining feedback from
potential customers, the community brings people of all ages together. By creating this website,
we can also "turn our customers into our community" (Richardson 1), which can make it easier
to get more people interested in the product. Boosting the success rate of a set published by
listening to the community's feedback will boost its success rate. LEGO designers collaborate
with members whose ideas are published and attend signing events.
Furthermore, the community can also provide support and feedback for users who prefer to
support others. All ages are represented in the community. No matter their age, they can all
share their opinions on what they think would appeal to a larger audience. By using this website,
members can connect with one another and assist each other in reaching their milestones or
provide feedback on each other's creations. Neither members nor posts in general require
members to participate. LEGO-made activities can be enjoyed by members who support
community posts.
Furthermore, members are able to meet new people through the LEGO ideas community. As
well as the comments and postings, there is also an introduction section where you can
introduce yourself. By talking with others, making friends, or getting advice from them about
starting to get creative, members can meet people to chat with. The LEGO Ideas community
has been described as "an online community that brings together passionate fans and creators"
(Neufeld 1), although some disagree. Seeing adults enjoying their hobbies with LEGOs often
causes people to consider LEGOs childish and immature.
Furthermore, participants in this community are able to earn points towards future purchases
for participating in LEGO activities or contests. I would recommend participating in the LEGO
activities as they are the easiest. Builds are usually straightforward and carried out every week.
You can use the points you earn from these activities to purchase small items or for purchases
in the future. We do fun LEGO activities that correspond to the topic of the week. There are
LEGO contests for those who want to challenge themselves. Every month, we hold contests
where we can showcase our creativity in our builds; "Frequent contests encourage self-
expression and put awesome gifts up for grabs" (Neufeld 1). We can win shopping sprees,
signed LEGO sets, rare items, and maybe even trips if our submissions are reviewed by LEGO
judges. People are encouraged to participate in activities and contests by earning points in the
community. The LEGO ideas community provides a great platform for us to express our
creativity, as evidenced by these activities.
As a result, LEGO ideas communities share similar interests and have different
purposes, which makes them essential. If you have an interest in LEGOs, I encourage you to
visit the website and see all the creations submitted by people. Our creativity can be expressed
through doing things we all enjoy or by helping one another out.
