Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in the Liberal Arts
provides students with an integrated
understanding of the influences which
have shaped the development of
human culture. For the first two years,
full-time students will study core units
in history, literature, philosophy and
theology. In their third year, students
are required to complete two science
units, and may elect to complete a
major by undertaking 8 units of study
(overall) in a discipline of their choice.
Australian universities do not offer an
integrated education in the liberal arts
characterised by a core curriculum –
embracing both the arts and sciences –
which all students undertake. Yet such
an education is of powerful and
enduring value, as shown by the
effectiveness of graduates in the
marketplace. According to recent
reports from Deloitte and Ernst &
Young, employers are placing higher
value on critical thinking, problem-
solving and effective communication
than vocational schooling when
recruiting recent graduates.

Tuition
Fees can be deferred fully or
partially through FEE-HELP
of a liberal arts education, with
employers reporting superior
transferrable skills amongst liberal arts
graduates relative to graduates in
other fields. Our degree provides a
solid foundation for future study and
workplace readiness, with our
graduates successfully pursing careers
in teaching, journalism, business, law,
medicine, evangelisation, academia
and politics.
Course Outline
Students are required to successfully
complete 24 units to meet the
minimum requirements for the degree,
with at least 8 units at each of 100, 200
and 300 level.
Interested in a Diploma
instead? Our Diploma of Liberal
Arts – Foundations of the
Western Tradition allows
students to complete just the
first year of Campion’s Bachelor
degree, undertaking Level 100
units in history, literature,
philosophy and theology.

Applications to study at Campion
College are made directly i.e., not
through a third party such as UAC. We
accept applications all year round and
do not charge an application fee.
Campion College has a number of
admission pathways. The relevant
pathway will be determined by the
applicant’s academic background. For
high-school graduates, we require an
ATAR of 70 or above. Students without
an ATAR can gain admission by
completing the STAT Written English
pathways exist for Early Acceptance
Scheme, Educational Access Scheme
and Provisional Enrolment.
