I was the Programme Director of the above package of works and wish to record my appreciation
for the focussed and reliable input of Wan and his team at Durham Lifting Ltd.
The programme required technical excellence, focussed drive, commercial agility and pragmatism
to deliver a multi-million-pound improvement to improve safety for production teams and visible
assurance of maintenance activities and address identified non-conformances at the site.
Durham Lifting were engaged early on to help scope, design, assure, procure, deliver and hand over
a range of lifting products to improve safe handling of diverse loads. This posed a variety of novel
engineering challenges and required significant analysis of the tasks undertaken.
Throughout the eleven-month programme, which was delivered during covid restrictions, they
engaged positively, seeking resolution (rather than amplification of) technical and logistical
situations and could be relied upon to work harmoniously with the client team and interfacing
contractors in an accelerated programme and congested workspace.
Without their professional, diligent and positive engagement, it would not have been possible to
achieve so much in such a short period of time.
I would have no hesitation advocating for them. If you require any further information, please do
not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
Anthony Marley

EVERYTHING that can be said about Generation Y, we’ve heard it all, right? They’re easily bored, highly am

But a handful of enterprising young people at the recent GREAT Ideas Forum hosted by the British High C

And that’s probably even more true with social entrepreneurship, where you need to be ambitious and pe

The four young social entrepreneurs at GREAT Ideas each had two minutes to present their projects and e

The panel was completed by Astro CEO Datuk Rohana Rozhan, UK Trade Envoy to the Asean Economic Co

Another presenter, Reeve Yew, 21, of Thriving Talents, proposed a programme to get young people to org

The four social-entrepreneurial projects were some of the best examples of Malaysian youth innovations i
through the British High Commissioner’s Successor Generation Initiative (SGI), based on their potential to
build skills and be self-sustaining.
