RECRUITMENT OF PCOS MACHINES TECHNICIANS

FOR 2013 ELECTIONS

To. Education Program Supervisors

Public Schools District Supervisors
Secondary / Elementary School Principals

1. ln line with tlre 2013 Automated National and Local Elections, the COMELEC is in need
of six hundred eighty-seven (687) PCOS Technical Support Personnel and Supervisor in
Bulacan Province.

2. The Public Schools District Supervisors are requested to submit the names of qualified
and interested DepED school-based PCOS Machines Technicians according to tfre number of
barangays in the municipality. One PCOS Machines Technician shall be assigRed in one
barangay. The names of recommended Technicians, prcferably ICT coordinators, shall be
submitted to the COMELEC Provincial Election Supervisor before February 15, 2013, copy
tumished the Division Office.

3,. The following are the minimum qualifications for PCOS Technicians:
a. Computer literate (with knowledge on basic cornputer operations)
b. Willing to be trained
c. Physically fit

4. The target date for the training of PCOS technicians and supervisor is between
February and April, 2013.

5. The functions and responsibilities of the PCOS Technical Support Personnel and
$upervisors are contained in the attashed Memorandum from the Office of the Undersecretary
of LegalAffairs.

6. lmmediate dissemination of and compliance with the content of this Memorandum is

enjoined.

The PCOS Technioal $uppon Personnel wlll have the fotiowing

functions:

a) Assist the tsoard of Election lnspectors (BEl) in sening up of the PCOS

machine in their respective pollirlg place s;

b) Troubleshoot and attend to errtrrs or problems in the operation of the

PCOS machine (battery, modern, rnain and baek-up CF Cards,
paper, BGAN);

c) $ubmit a report on technical problenrs errcountored in the field, if any,
during rtrock elactlons, finaltesting and sealing and election day;
d) RepOrl tO the NatiOnal Bupport Center and to the PCO-B Supervisor'
during the Final Testing and $ealing and Election Day, the following
information pertaining tc their precinct assignment:
,/ Date und time of their arrival and departure in the polling center;

n Time of closing of voting; and

e) Report to the PCOS Superrisor, during the Final Testing and Sealing
and Election DaY, the following:
,/ Any irregular conditiOn of the PCOS machine before, during and
after voting;

{ lnventory and $ealing of PCOS machine'

f) Perform such other duties End functions, which the Commission tnay
prescribe from time to time.

On the Other hand, the PCOS Superviser t0 be hired should meet the
