Pre-Operation Inspection | Electronic Forklift | Electric ITA Class I

As an Electric Forklift operator, pre-operation inspections should be part of your daily routine. Pre-
operation inspections help not only increase the longevity of your Electric Forklift, but also help
decrease accidents due to component failure while operating it.

If you operate an Electric ITA Class I forklift, inspect the following daily:
*Before beginning, be sure the forklift is parked on a level surface, the parking brake is applied, the forks are
lowered to the ground and the key switch is off.

Exterior Inspection

 No oil leaks
 No tire deflation, damage, cracks or wear
 No loose hub nuts
 No dirt, damage or cracks in lamps
 Hydraulic fluid is at the appropriate level
 Brake fluid is at the appropriate level
 No damage, bends, looseness or chain tension in forks or backrest

On-Vehicle Inspection

 Material handling system works properly and there are no oil leaks
 No dirt or damage on mirror
 Brake pedal is effective
 Parking brake operates properly
 Gauges operate properly
 Battery indicator lamp works properly
 Steering wheel isn’t loose
 No abnormal sound from horn
 OPS Indicator lighting functions correctly

Charger Inspection

 On-forklift charger works properly


 Off-forklift charger works properly
