EU
• It was established in 1993.
• The original members of the European Union are six countries such as Belgium,
France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and West Germany.
• Since the EU was established, a lot of European countries have joined.
• The number of member countries has become large and member countries have
changed. Now there are 27 countries.
• Because member countries in the EU increased, the borders of the EU changed. The
borders of the EU expanded.
• The leader of the EU changes and it takes turn to member countries of the EU. It is fair
to all the members of EU countries.
There is fluidity.

About Brexit
• The UK left the European Union.
• There was a referendum in 2016. The leave won the referendum and the UK left the
EU.
• The EU members have changed.
• Because the UK left the EU, the situation in the EU changed.
• The UK was one of the biggest and largest power countries in the EU, but the UK
has left, so there are some changes in terms of policy such as economic trade and free
movement between the UK and other EU members. Also, the EU border has changed.
The other members of the European Union can’t live or work freely in the UK anymore.
There is fluidity.
