A manager demonstrated high emotional intelligence when a team member had a conflict with him and accused him of mismanagement in front of others. Rather than firing the young team member, who needed the job to support his family's finances, the manager remained calm and recommended shifting him to a different department so he would not lose his job. The manager's positive attitude, ability to remain calm during conflicts, and consideration of the team member's situation showed his high level of emotional intelligence and maturity.

working out as a part of event management team. I can remember of my manager whose emotional intelligence showed at times always get me to admire him. His positive attitude for everything and every team member even during conflicts makes me realise of his emotional intelligence. I can remember of a situation when he had a conflict with a team member who was not performing well and was disturbing the team. The member was a young boy who had a fight with the manager in front of the other managers. He accused the manager for mismanagement and even sweared. The whole management was upset of the boy and fired him. The manager knew the financial situation of the boy’s family so he kept his personal grudges on side. The manager remained calm throughout the whole situation and recommended to shift him to a different department so that he don’t have to loose his job. He showed his maturity and high emotional quotient. In the coming weeks, the boy realised his mistake and apologised.
