INTERN: Duane Bartnicki

AGENCY: Western Michigan University Athletics Facilities
DATE: 11/17/2022
1. Briefly summarize to date your exposure to the agency's goals/objectives
and practices.
I have helped WMU athletic facilities complete a lot of goals and objectives they have had for
the fall semester. Specifically, the goals we had for football this season.
2. Is this experience what you expected? Please explain:
Yes, I worked with athletics for 2 years before coming the intern, so I knew what I was going to
do. Maybe the whole contacting the refs and coaches before matches and games.
3. Explain how this experience is (is not) helping you gain your expected goals
from field training.
This is giving me a great experience. Specifically, being the intern now. I am managing the
student workers now and getting some management experience.
4. Is the supervision (both University and Agency) you are getting adequate?
Please explain:
Yes. Dr. Cork and Dr. Lewis know that I am working with WMU athletics and always see me
working games. Then I have good connections with my supervisors here at WMU athletics
facilities.
5. How can the field work experiences be more meaningful?

a. What can you do to make it so?

b. What can the agency do to make it so?

6. What experiences would you like to see be given more emphasis during
the remainder of your time with this agency?
Becoming a main contact with being that person to call when they need someone to come in or
do a shift by themselves. Being a guy they can trust to do a lot of things.

REMEMBER: Candid discussions with the Agency Supervisor of your reactions expressed on
this form is one step you can take to make your experience more meaningful.
