1. AN EXPLORATORY STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME

ON GRADE 11 STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
I chose this topic because chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a debilitating condition that can
significantly impact an individual's daily life. The academic performance of Senior high school
students with CFS is particularly important as it can have a significant impact on their future
educational and career opportunities. There is limited research on the impact of CFS on academic
performance in this age group, and this exploratory study will provide valuable insights into the
challenges faced by students with CFS and inform the development of strategies to support their
academic success.
This study explores the potential impact of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) on the academic
performance of grade 11 students. CFS is a debilitating condition characterized by persistent fatigue
that is not alleviated by rest and can have a significant impact on an individual's quality of life. As
academic performance is an important aspect of a student's life, it is important to investigate
whether CFS may negatively impact this area for those affected. This study seeks to provide
insights into this issue and identify potential ways to mitigate any negative effects.
Examining the consequences of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) on academic performance in
grade 11 students is important since CFS is a disabling condition that affects a significant portion of
the population, particularly teens. It may have a substantial impact on their daily activities and
academic performance, which may have long-term consequences for their education and future
opportunities. By researching the effects of the illness on academic performance, teachers and
healthcare professionals may develop strategies and interventions to assist kids with CFS and
promote their academic progress.
