Shaw few men---playing---skirtles---agreed to play, took drink (refreshing)
Drink---sleepy, yawn loudly
Awake---no one was there---rub chin---white beard/smooth chin
Cottages---town houses (3-4 storeys high)
Dusted roads---big cobbed streets
His house---large inn
20 years---later --woke
Rip’s old friend---peter
Wife died/ children grown up
Daughter married cheerful farmer
Son—successful business
Old men—ghost (Henry Hudson)
