SHRI NARENDRA SINGH TOMAR LAUNCHES ANIMAL VACCINE
AND KITS DEVELOPED BY THE ICAR-NRC ON EQUINES
Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. Shri Narendra Singh
Tomar launched Animal Vaccine and other Diagnostic Kits developed by the
ICAR National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar, Haryana.

The Ancovax Vaccine on Equines is an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 Delta


(COVID-19) Vaccine for Animals.

The immunity induced by Ancovax neutralizes both Delta and Omicron


Variants of SARS-CoV-2. The Vaccine contains inactivated SARS-CoV 2
(Delta) antigen with Alhydrogel as an adjuvant.

It is safe for dogs, lions, leopards, mice and rabbits.

To boost export of Mangoes, APEDA organizes 8-day-long mango festival
in Bahrain.

In a major boost to the export of mangoes, the Agricultural and Processed


Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) launched an eight-
day-long Mango Festival in the Kingdom of Bahrain on June 13 in association
with the Indian Embassy and Al Jazira Group.

IIM AHMEDABAD LAUNCHES INDIA’S FIRST AGRI LAND
PRICE INDEX
The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA),Gujarat, in
association with Indian agri-land marketplace SFarmsIndia has
launched the IIMA SFarmsIndia Agri Land Price Index (ISALPI), a
first-of-its-kind land price index.

This will record and present ‘quality controlled’ data of prices of


agricultural land across India.

The Misra Centre for Financial Markets and Economy at IIM-A will
host this index on its official website. Currently, ISALPI is based on
land listing data from states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka,
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.

WORLD’S 1ST NANO UREA PLANT BY IFFCO
The Prime Minister (PM) of India Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s
first nano urea liquid plant by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited
(IFFCO) at Kalol, Gujarat. This facility was dedicated to the nation during a
ceremony held at the Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

With this inauguration, India has become the first country globally to
start commercial production of Nano Urea.

Set up with an investment of Rs 175 crore, the plant will


produce approximately 1.5 lakh 500 ml bottles of nano urea per day, and
eight more such plants will be established in India in the coming days.

Nano urea is essentially urea in the form of a nanoparticle.

SYNGENTA INDIA LAUNCHES PRICE GUARANTEE
INSURANCE SCHEME FOR CHILLI FARMERS
Syngenta India, a Agri-tech Company’s vegetable seed division has
entered into an exclusive agreement with the Agriculture Insurance
Company of India (AIC) to safeguard chilli farmers of Guntur, Andhra
Pradesh(AP) from unfavourable price fluctuations due to unpredictable
market conditions.

This is the 1st initiative for crop protection against market fluctuation.
Until now, the compensation was given due to the natural calamities.

MAHARASHTRA BECAME TOP IN SUGAR PRODUCTION IN INDIA
Maharashtra became the India’s top sugar producer after a five-year
gap, followed by Uttar Pradesh (UP) in the lead. During the current season of
2021- 22, the state is crushing the highest amount of cane and producing the
highest ever amount of sugar. Till date, Maharashtra has crushed 1194.75 lt of
cane and produced 124.75 lt of sugar.

SIKKIM DECLARED BLUE DUKE AS STATE
BUTTERFLY
On the occasion of World Environment Day (5th June 2022), the
government of Sikkim declared the Blue Duke (scientific name:
Bassarona durga durga), a species of nymphalid butterfly found in
the Himalayas, as the State Butterfly of Sikkim.

Blue Duke which is also called Bassarona durga durga is unique to


Sikkim and Eastern Himalayas, first discovered in the State in
1858. Blue Duke falls in the Schedule 2 of Wildlife Protection Act,
1972 and is a highly protected species of butterfly in the
Himalayas.

WORLD BANK APPROVES 1000 CR FUND TO UTTARAKHAND
WB has approved the Uttarakhand Climate Responsive Rain-fed
Farming Project with an outlay of Rs 1000 crore to introduce modern
farming in its 9 hill districts. It will be implemented by the watershed
department.

INDIAN BANK LAUNCHES DIGITAL KCC RENEWAL SCHEME

On 13th June 2022 Indian Bank (IB) launched Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
digital renewal scheme for renewal of KCC accounts by customers
themselves through IB’s IndOASIS mobile app, internet banking portal
and IB’s website and also through Message for feature phone users.

This is launched currently for customers having outstanding loans of


Rs.1.60 Lakh as a part of IB’s digital transformation under project World
of Advanced Virtual Experience (WAVE).

Spices Board, the flagship organization of the Ministry of Commerce
and Industry(MoCI), signed a Terms of Understanding(ToU) with Flipkart
to enhance market access and support to promote farmers and
grassroots organisations working in the spices sector.

The ToU was signed at the Spices Board headquarters in Kochi, Kerala.

According to the biennial Environmental Performance
Index (EPI) 2022 released which was analysed by the
researchers at the Earth Institute of Yale and
Columbia University, India has been ranked 180
which is at the bottom amongst other countries with a
total score of 18.9, Denmark tops the index
of emerging as the most sustainable country in the
2022 rankings.

4TH EDITION OF STATE FOOD SAFETY INDEX 2021-22
RELEASED
The Union Health Minister released the 4th State Food Safety Index
(SFSI) for 2021-2022 by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of
India (FSSAI).

Among larger states, Tamil Nadu (TN) was the top ranking state,
followed by Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Among the smaller states, Goa stood first followed by Manipur and
Sikkim

Among UTs (Union Territories), Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), Delhi


and Chandigarh secured first, second and third ranks.

Parshottam Rupala launched a Management Information System (MIS)
dashboard for Padhan Mantri Matsya Samapada Yojana (PMMSY) for
aggregating information on one platform.

The project investment of Rs 7,242.90 crore has been made in the


Financial Years 2020 to 2022(FY20-22) under PMMSY.

The first ever MSME day was observed on 27th June 2017.

The Hybrid event of MSME Day 2022 (combining virtual and in-

RUBBER BOARD’S ELECTRONIC TRADING PLATFORM
‘MRUBE’ GOES LIVE
mRube, the electronic trading platform promoted by Rubber Board went
Live on June 8 2022. The board intends to complement the existing trade
system for rubber by introducing more transparency coupled with quality
assurance and payment security through mRube. The technology partner for
developing the mRube is Ahmedabad (Gujarat)-based i– Sourcing
Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
INDIA’S MARINE PRODUCT EXPORTS RECORD AN ALL-TIME
HIGH IN FY 2021-22
Grow by over 30% to Rs 57,586.48 crore (USD 7.76 billion) India shipped
13,69,264 MT of seafood worth Rs 57,586.48 crore (USD 7.76 billion) during
2021-22, despite heavy odds. During the FY 2021-22, the export improved in rupee
term by 31.71%, in USD terms by 30.26% and in quantity terms by 19.12%. In
2020-21, India had exported 11,49,510 MT of seafood worth Rs 43,720.98 crore
(USD 5,956.93 million).
ANDHRA PRADESH CM LAUNCHES YSR YANTRA SEVA SCHEME & FLAGGED
OFF STATE LEVEL DISTRIBUTION OF TRACTORS
Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy flagged off the state-level mega distribution of tractors and
combine harvesters under YSR Yantra Seva Pathakam in Guntur.

Around 3,800 tractors and 320 combined harvesters would be made available at Rythu Bharosa
Centres (RBKs) across AP.

Funds – A subsidy of Rs. 175 crore has been credited into 5,260 farmer group bank accounts.
The State government provides 40 percent subsidy, loans for 50 percent of the machinery cost,
and the remaining 10 percent can be paid by the farmer’s group.

Almost 10,750 RBKs were set up to assist the farmers from seed to sale and farm equipment like
tractors and harvesters were also made available.

About 10,750 YSR Yantra Seva Centres would be set up at each RBK level at a cost of
Rs.2,016 crore and 1,615 harvesters will be made available at cluster level where the paddy
cultivation is widespread.
