Introduction

I chose an article from Elsevier's website. This article title is Green supply chain initiatives
among certified companies in Malaysia and environmental sustainability: Investigating the
outcomes. It is written by Tarig K. Eltayeb, Suhaiza Zailani and T. Ramayah. The article was
selected because it was easy to understand, and most importantly, it met the requirements
related to the subject. Its focus was on the proof-of-concept outcomes of implementing a
green supply chain.

Objective, main theme and information were communicated

This study focuses on examining the effects of putting into practice green supply chain
initiatives among Malaysian certified companies and environmental sustainability. Only three
of the initiatives that are mentioned in the journal and are frequently used in Malaysia will be
studied out of the five basic green supply chain initiatives that are described in this study.

The authors of the article Green Supply Chain Management: A Research Agenda
(Hervani,Helms, and Sarkis, 2005) claim that GSCM encompasses a range. Of the activities
including reuse, remanufacturing, and recycling, green design, green procurement practices,
total quality environmental management, environmentally friendly
packaging, transportation, and managing end-of-life product practices. The goal of GSCM is
to monitor and practice improving environmental performance throughout the life cycle of a
product in the supply chain

In this statement, the author wanted to convey the idea that eco design is primarily about
creating production and consumption patterns that are sustainable. This involves the
management of various processes to minimize the environmental impact of the product.
Management systems and information help communities manage their resources and material
flows for green purchasing related to supplier performance management. In other words, it
focuses on reusing, recycling, or remanufacturing products and finished materials after they
have been used. There are various aspects of sustainable resource use, including economics,
social issues, and policy considerations. The study examines various strategies that
companies can implement to increase productivity and sustainability.

A key objective of the journal is to promote the transformation of the resource management
process. The purpose of this is to identify and implement strategies and methods that promote
the sustainable use of resources. Editors welcome contributions related to sustainable
resource management. The journal focuses on the various processes involved in the transition
from traditional production systems to more sustainable processes. Each author should
include at least five to six main figures or tables in their manuscript. Additional figures or
tables relevant to the paper should also be included as appendices. Key figures and tables are
usually included in draft articles or reviews and suggested in manuscripts for original
research articles or reviews..

methodology and results

In this study, the hypothesis and research question were tested using a survey and mail
questionnaire between individual firms. Using mail-in questionnaires, the author focuses
primarily on the collection and analysis of quantitative data as a means of achieving the
study's objectives. The sampling technique employed in this study is a census.

Previous studies have shown that green supply chain initiatives do not significantly affect a
company’s internal performance. This shows that the external benefits of this initiative can
be shared by others. The importance of reverse logistics in reducing costs has been
demonstrated by studies. This indicates that the use of this method is associated with the
reduction of costs associated with packaging and materials.

Strength and weakness

The strength of this article, it shows the author extensively examines the literature
andevaluates it critically quality. Literature reviews seems useful and pertinent information,
extracted from a variety of sources ranging from journal articles to internal
agency/organization reports and databases.

The Weakness of the study examined only a few supply chain initiatives. The authors should
be able to investigate the effects of green supply chain initiatives on other outcomes in
future studies. Aside from cost reductions, other aspects of operational performance may
need to be explored, such as quality, flexibility, and delivery..

Conclusion

In summary, the green supply chain initiatives process is not an easy one. It requires a lot of
work and patience by all parties involved. However, the benefits are well worth the effort.
The Partner's in this process are at an advantage when they can provide for their customers’
needs and be seen as a trustworthy company that cares about the earth and environment. They
may also have a competitive advantage over other companies that are not as concerned with
sustainability. The publication of this journal is crucial in order to present research relevant to
the filed of study and to gain more understanding of how organization or certified companies
implemented the green supply chain and the results
