I go over classroom
expectations every day. I
make sure to remind
students if they are not
following expectations. If
a student is having

I meet with them one on

remedy it.
I make sure to
communicate high
expectations for behavior.
Evidence We go over expectations
everyday in our morning
meeting. Sometimes I
have students’ model how
to follow these
expectations. If a student
is not following the
expectations, I meet with
them one on one and try
to figure out what is going
on. If that does not work, I
let the parents know so
they can assist me in
reinforcing these
expectations.
I continue using my
routine of going over
expectations daily. This
continues to help with
ensuring I have a safe

climate where everyone
can learn. I also do class
chants to motivate
students to have a growth
mindset. When a student
gets a question wrong, I
tell them that it is ok and
that mistakes help us
learn. My students know
that it is ok to make
mistakes and that we
encourage it because it
means they are learning.
During my instructional
time I make sure I follow

“models. I want to make
sure I am not only up
their talking the whole
time. I want them to
practice with me before
they do independent
work. When I am done
with the main lesson, I
make sure to monitor
student work and adjust
instruction when needed.
If I see a student made a
mistake, we correct it
together and then they
try again.
