Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

In this field experience I provided support for our new teachers. Many of these teachers are first year teachers or are new to our district and are unfamiliar
with the programs we use in the county. The main way I provided support was helping them create Canvas courses and getting students added into their
courses. I also had one-on-one meetings with some of them that wanted more specific programs and resources. The experience allowed me to practice being
a technology coach. One major take away was allowing my colleagues to explore the digital tools on their own. In the past I have found myself doing all the
work for them and just clicking everything on my own. I am working on instructing them through the process and having them do the work.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge – As a technology coach I must know how to curate, evaluate and explore various new digital resources. I also need to know how to support
other educators and provide professional learning opportunities.

Skills – I must be able to allow students and colleagues the opportunity to explore and learn new digital tools in a positive environment free from judgment. I
also need to collaborate with colleagues and explore digital tools that support an authentic learning environment.

Dispositions – As a technology coach I need to provide a supportive positive environment that allows my colleagues to feel supportive. As an educator I also
need to provide an environment within my classroom that fosters a positive learning environment and allow students to take ownership of their learning.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
One of our goals is to use technology in enriching and engaging ways. This experience allowed me to meet with our new teachers and show them programs
that are created for enhancing the learning environment. Canvas is the LMS required by our county and I was able to help our new teachers set their course
up and help them understand how Canvas works. This impact can be assessed by conducting observations.
