1. Do you have a talent or something you are good at?

Yeah, I don’t want to brag, but I do think I have a hidden talent for cooking. When I
was
little, my cooking skill was exceptional (=very good), I successfully cooked mouth-
watering (=delicious) cuisines such as fried eggs and spaghetti. I got compliments
from my
family and friends
2. When did you notice this talent? What did you do to sharpen this talent?
My mom realized my passion for cooking and she taught me to cook a lot of dishes
since I was 9 years old
3. Do you think your talent can be useful for your future work? Why?
Well, I’ve often thought it would be nice to open my own restaurant some time in the
future, so having a talent in cooking would of course very useful.
4. Do you think anyone in your family has the same talent?
Yes, as a cook, my mother is in a class of her own, and I really hope that someday, I
can say I’m as good and talented at cooking as she is
5. What do you think makes a good student?
In my opinion the best students have a mix of the ability to do hard work and
intelligence. If you only have one of the two it can be really difficult to succeed.

PART 2
This topic reminds me of an occasion when I made efforts to prepare for the high
school entrance
exam and I passed with flying colors. It happened long time ago but I still remember
it vividly as it was just
yesterday. I was over the moon when I was informed that I got accepted to my dream
school.
Just so you know, high school Entrance Examination is very important to Vietnamese
students. Secondary school
graduates have to take it and get high results to be admitted to high school.
I was super nervous before the exam and I actually started my preparation a year
before that test. I worked
around the clock, took a lot of extra classes, normally woke up at the crack of dawn to
learn by heart
Mathematical formulas, long Vietnamese poems and English grammar structures.
Not gonna lie, I felt stressed sometimes since I was always up to my neck in
homework, deadlines back then.
Fortunately, my hard work paid off. I passed the test with a high mark, way higher
than I had expected actually.
I was on cloud nine on the day I got the result.
My parents also exploded with joy and happiness.
