    Dear Dean,

    BODY
    I am writing this letter to apologize for my absence during yesterday's program
    internship meeting. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to attend the
    meeting.

    I want to give you an explanation for why I wasn't here. I felt quite weak and had a high fever when I
    woke up yesterday morning. I had to go see my doctor right away as a result. I was instructed to relax
    and refrain from engaging in any vigorous activities after performing several tests. In order to help me
    heal quicker, I was also given certain prescription drugs.

    I'm sorry to let you know that I was unable to make the program internship meeting due to my health.
    I am aware that it was crucial for me to be there because it was a crucial component of my internship.
    I apologize sincerely for any inconvenience my absence may have brought about.

    I've already contacted my colleagues at the meeting to ask them to provide me with a summary of the
    conversation so that I stay caught up in the program. To discuss how I can make up for the missing
    meeting, I will also contact the internship coordinator.

    I appreciate you taking the time to comprehend. To guarantee that I catch up on any missed
    information, kindly let me know if there are any additional steps I need to take.
