1. On a personal level, what is your understanding of XU’s Vision and Mission

Statement?

I have always understood the university’s vision and mission to be selfless and about total
formation. The university seeks to produce graduates that take what they learn to the heart
and apply it to the real world, become what this progressing country needs- great leaders.
Not only that, it is stated that the university’s vision is to be a leading ASEAN university and I
think that lines up with one of the university’s “magic words”, “MAGIS”- which inherently
means to “more” or to do more than what is expected of you.

2. How can you help achieve Xavier-Ateneo’s Vision and Mission-Statement?

As a student in the first year, there is only so much expected of me. I know I am able to live
up to these expectations and even go as far as surpass them. I can do all of that by working
to become the best version of myself and to be the kind of student that the university would
be proud of. I shall do my tasks with complete passion and fire that I may, not only follow
mere instructions, but as well as see what I can do better and apply it.
