To our hardworking and dedicated School Head, Ma Christina C.

Salonga, to our diligent and enthusiastic

Assistant Principal Rowena A. Cristobal, to our ever-supportive department heads, to my fellow master
teachers, teaching and non-teaching staff, a pleasant afternoon to everyone.

I am humbly presenting myself on behalf of 1__ teachers of Sitero Francisco Memorial NHS to accept the
challenge given to us on this midyear Inservice training for teachers with the title Project YOLO, Yielding
toward Optimum Learning as One in the Now Normal.

My appreciation goes out to the people who have been working on this remarkable INSET, especially the
chairperson, Lady Michelle Dp Salarda, as well as the members of the committee and technical working
groups. It was a fascinating and thought-provoking experience, with interesting topics from excellent
and brilliant speakers, and a hotel-like ambiance with a delicious meal.

I would like to read this line by the famous author Charles Eisenstein and I quote, We sense that
‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a new normal: a new kind of society, a new
relationship to the earth, a new experience of being human.

Since the Pandemic, we have come to realize that most of the approaches and practices we used before
are no longer effective and appropriate for our students. After coming back from 2 years of online
learning, we were all in a state of shock and awe at the behavior and state of mind of our learners. This
kind of behavior may be affected by certain variables. Despite this, we must live with it since they were
exposed to modern society. The three resource speakers, Maam Bianca, Maam Rhet and Sir Elias,
helped us attain a deeper understanding of our learners' needs. They helped us establish our limitations
and boundaries based on their needs.

I would also like to thank Maam Nova Gonzales and Maam Ruby Partible for discussing the Key
indicators that will enhance our lesson by integrating literacy and numeracy in our classroom activities
and pointing out ways to help our learners improve their higher order thinking skills.

Also, my appreciation goes out to Sir Bryan Acebuche for giving us perspective on how to engage
families and communities in school activities in a sustainable manner. And lastly, I would like to thank
Mam Rosalie L de Jesus for her excellent outline for the proficient advancement of teachers by obtaining
modern information and abilities related to their individual advancement, calling, work obligations, and
work environment through RPMS.

As we are facing the now normal in Philippine Education, new Policies, new guidelines, new indicators,
let’s rebuild and accept the challenge as teacher by starting over, new pattern of thoughts, A new wave
of emotions, A new relation to the world and a new belief approach in yourself.”

Our education system is undergoing a radical change, with new policies, new guidelines, and new
indicators. It's time to start over as teachers, to think differently, to feel differently, and to believe
differently in order to achieve the optimum learning in now normal.

And with that Maam Salonga, on behalf of 1__ teacher of SFMNHS, CHALLENGE IS ACCEPTED.
