    Activity # 5

    Animate It (Flip Book)

    Directions:
    Materials : examples of cartoon panels, marker ruler, pencil, white
    cartolina, clip

    Procedures :
    1. Divide 1 sheet of white cartolina into several triangles, each
    measuring 3”x15”. Fill the paper with as many rectangles as you can
    fill it.
    2. Cut the triangles
    3. Draw a picture on one side slip of paper. Keep the image on the side
    of the strip, filling only half the paper width. As this picture will be
    the starting point of the flip book.
    4. Draw an incremental change in the cartoon on the second sheet of
    paper. Redraw the original picture with only a slight difference.
    5. Repeat the process, making incremental changes in each new page.
    Keep adding new pages until you finish your animation in mind.
    6. Stack the drawings in numerical orders.
    7. Clamp the book together with a clip.
