Course Learning Outcomes

Through this course, Students are expected to:
▶ Learning basic words, configuration, and basic sentence structures that are essential in everyday life

▶To understand and express content based on their daily and personal life such as yesterday’s daily routine, describing
weather, time, making an appointment, expressing weekend activities and studying Korean and explaining plan.
▶To be able to ask and answer using proper tense and conjugation in their daily conversation.

Module Overview
We learned how to tell the current situation or what do you do now and how to tell the story of the past. In this
module, let's study about asking or answering future plans.

What did you do last week? If you have a conversation with someone, you're probably the most likely to ask about
that what she/he is going to do. Study this unit thinking you are talking to a Korean friend. Try to make your own
sentence using given vocabulary or not limit to that.

3. Grammar

3.1 – (으)ㄹ 거에요’

‘ – (으)ㄹ 거에요’ comes after the verb stem to indicate the things that will happen or palns in the future. ‘- 을
거에요’ is used when the preceding verb stem ends with a consonant other than ㄹ. ‘-ㄹ 거에요’is used when
the preceding verb ends with either a vowel.
‘-을 거에요’ with verbs ending a consonant ‘-ㄹ 거에요’ when verbs ending a vowel
except ㄹ.
읽다+ 을 거에요 = 읽을 거에요 자다 +ㄹ 거에요 = 잘 거에요
먹다+ 을 거에요 = 먹을 거에요 가다 +ㄹ 거에요 = 갈 거에요
찍다+ 을 거에요 = 찍을 거에요 타다 +ㄹ 거에요 = 탈 거에요
※ In case with ㄹ ending verbs: just ‘-거에요’ comes after the verb stem.
팔다(sell) + 거에요 = 팔 거에요
살다(live) + 거에요 = 살 거에요

3.3 ‘그래서’
‘그래서’ Comes at the beginning of a sentence to indicate that the previous sentence is the reason for this
sentence.

머리가 아파요. 그래서 (so) 병원에 가요

저는 여름을 좋아해요 그리고 (and) 봄도 좋아해요.

3.4 Fill in the blanks using ‘그리고’ or ‘그래서’
