Day 02

Find Your Next Art Collector Quickly

5-Day Challenge
If you don't have a goal
then that's your goal.
Day 2. Starting a journey to sell your art without a clear goal is like
heading out on a road trip without a destination. Sure, you’re going
to end up somewhere…but is it really where you want to go? Have
you created your own definition of success? How would you know if
you woke up this morning and reached all your goals this year? What
precisely would tell you, “Yep, I’ve finally done it!”?
What we measure
improves.

Day 2 Assignment: Define your SMARTER

goal and then evaluate it based on the
following seven criteria.
1-Specific
Make your goal very specific and state it
as if you have already manifested it.

Example:
I'm so grateful that I sold $5000 of my
art in 2021.

2-Measurable
We can't measure:
"I have sold a lot more art this year."

We can measure:
I'm so grateful that I sold $5000 of my art
in 2021.
3-Achievable 4-Results

As you set your goals, the critical Does your stated goal reflect the
thing to remember is to make them result you want or does it reflect how
CRYSTAL CLEAR and DO NOT "shoot you're going to accomplish your
for the stars." goal?

Initially, you need to define an Example:

ACHIEVABLE goal that you believe A. "I'm so grateful that I sold $2500 in
you can attain. Define your goal and original works and $2500 in
then answer these questions: reproductions in 2021."

Example: B. "I'm so grateful that I sold $5000 of

Am I fairly confident that I can my art in 2021."
achieve this goal?
Would I be willing to bet money If your goal is to sell $5000 of art do
on my accomplishing it? you care what type of art sells?
If your answer is not "yes" then
you need to revise your goal so Don't think about how you are
that it is achievable. going to achieve your goal, we'll
get to that.
Think about the result that you
want to accomplish.
5-Time Bound
You do not have forever to manifest your desires into your reality.
Start today. The task will take as long as the time you allot to it so
you need to decide when you will accomplish your goal. Knowing
this means the difference between dreaming of your success versus
planning for your success.

Example:
"I'm so grateful that I sold $5000 of my art." This could be
accomplished in a month, a year, or a lifetime so it is not a goal.

Thoughts are things.

Our language reflects our thoughts.
Your words matter.
6-Evaluate

You must evaluate your goals from time to time. If you don't then
it's like taking an unfamiliar journey without ever checking your road
map. You have to consistently but not obsessively evaluate where
you are in relationship to your destination.
7-Revise

If you evaluate your progress with

your goal and you determine that you
can define a more productive goal,
revise your goal.

You may realize that you've found

a short cut and you need to
adjust.
You may come up against a
roadblock and you need to adjust.
You may realize that it would be
easier, faster, and more profitable
to hire an experienced sherpa
instead of trying to navigate
unfamiliar territory where you are
unaware of the hazards and
expensive roadblocks.
