sea, while at the sides were the wild
mountains and the desert. The men at
the back shouted the bad news, “the
Egyptians are coming!” Pharaoh’s
soldiers were at their back ready to kill
all of them.
What should they do? Even if they
would run, they would easily over taken
by soldiers whom on horses. They could
not also swim across the sea. They could
not also fly since they have no wings,
their only hope to escape was God.
The Lord put the pillar of fire
between them and the enemy soldiers.
Then he sent a strong wind that blew
and divided the sea, making a path
across the sea. These were all done after
God commanded Moses to stretch his
rod toward the sea.
Then the people marched across the
dry path. God removed the pillar again
so the soldiers continued pursuing them
through the path across the sea. When
all the Israelites were get into safety at
the other side, the enemy soldiers were
also almost reached them, God caused
their horses to run wild and their chariot
wheels broke, then Moses stretched his
rod again and the water returned to its
place.
Everyone was happy to have crossed
