Amazing Animal Teeth Facts!


§ Every week, sharks lose some of their
teeth! But they grow back immediately.
Can you imagine that?
§ Snails have up to 25,000 teeth … on
their tongues! Imagine what that
feels like!
§ Giraffes have 32 teeth, but most are
not at the front of their mouth. Many of
their teeth are at the back of their
head.
§ Dogs hardly ever get cavities!
§ Crocodiles lose a lot of teeth, but like sharks, they get replaced. They can
have up to 3,000 teeth throughout their lives.
§ Elephant tusks are the largest teeth in the world.
§ The largest mammal in the world – the blue whale – doesn’t have any teeth!
