Title: Moving Up and Graduation Rites

Proposed Venue: Paradise Embac National High School
Total Cost: 11, 136.00

II. Rationale

Moving up and graduation rites are celebrations that mark the completion of an
education program. Celebrating the achievements of participants with a ceremony,
awards, and certificates demonstrates that their hardwork is recognized and valued.
Likewise, these rites are the time to honor progress, to be proud, and to be a launching
point for their next steps. These serve as a transition point for the individual members of
the completing and graduation class who will follow diverse paths into futures that may
include higher education and the world of work.
In relation, awards and recognition have been embedded in the Philippine basic
education curriculum because of their profound effect on leamers' morale, motivation, self-
efficacy, and commitment of learners to consistently perform and strive to do better. These
meaningful moments of recognition inspire others and reinforce behavior that leads to
improvement.

III. Objectives

1. Recognize and celebrate students’ accomplishments for their academic and extra-
curricular requirements;
2. Provide a venue in which students receive their diplomas, certificates, and awards;
