Part 2:

A. DISEASE: DIABETES
B. DESCRIPTION/ signs or symptoms/ CAUSE: (Use citations and proper referencing)

With diabetes, your body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. When there
isn't enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much blood sugar stays in your bloodstream.
Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease .
The exact cause of most types of diabetes is unknown. In all cases, sugar builds up in the bloodstream.
This is because the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin.

C. TREATMENT/MANAGEMENT :

- Healthy eating.

- Regular exercise.

- Weight loss.

- Possibly, diabetes medication or insulin therapy.

- Blood sugar monitoring.
