BIKING

Recreational Activity - refers to leisure activities that people do in their


free time, came from the word ‘’recreare’’ which means to be refreshed
and renewed.

Recreation can be categorized into four categories: active, passive,


indoor and outdoor.

ACTIVE – activity that requires a lot of movement.


PASSIVE – involves limited physical exertion.
INDOOR – activity that can be done inside the house or any
establishment.
OUTDOOR – carried out in an outside place.

BIKING – low impact activity that can be enjoyed by all ages. -


BALANCE having great balance can save you from falling while
biking.
-PEDALING smooth pedalling can reduce the chance of injury in joints
and muscles
-BRAKING reduce or stops the bicycle from moving -SHIFTING
understanding shift gears will avoid losing momentum and to possibly
get off your bike
-DESCENDING moving or sloping down is a necessary skill to learn
WALL CLIMBING - Wall climbing is an indoor man-made wall for
climbing with the grips of hands and feet. It was
originally built to enable climbers to continue to train
climbing through the wet and winter months.

CLIMBING COMMANDS
“On belay?” This is the climber asking the belayer to confirm that they
are hooked into thebelay system properly.
''Belay on'' belayer will double check the carabiner to make sure its
locked
''Climbing'' means the climber is ready for climbing
''Climb on'' belayer confirming that they are ready for the climber to begin
''Slack'' climber needs more rope to move comfortably ''Up rope'' there'es
extra slack in the rope and the climber wants the belayer to take it in
''Take'' climber is ready to be lowered down

development can occur in if regular movement are executed

BACKCOUNTRY CAMPING - it is more planned than frontcountry and you
must be physiologically prepared

STAY LOCAL, AVOID BUSY TIMES, TRAVEL WITH FAMILY ONLY,
MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS.

SWIMMING - is the natural flotation of the body through neutral


buoyancy in which the limbs,arms and legs moved in coordination.

Recreational swimming is great for


all ages for exercise, survival or simply to just have fun and enjoy each
other's company. While enjoying, you are also providing your body a low-
impact workout which is good to relax and feel good. The different styles are
breastroke, backstroke, side stroke and freestyle.
