Set in 2022, the story revolves around Amy , a nineteen year old college student with a bright

personality. Amy's best friend, Mia, who has been preparing to visit the US for heart surgery, suddenly
declares that she cannot leave as she has fallen in love with a boy from their school whose name she
knows as Liam. Amy promises that she will follow Liam, find out everything about him, and email what
she discovers.

At school, Amy starts to follow Liam. One day, she overhears that Liam and his best friend Oliver will join
the broadcasting club at school, so she successfully auditions to join the club. While Oliver joins the club,
Liam does not. Amy tries to get close to Oliver in order to observe Liam.

Liam, mistaken that Amy is interested in him, asks her to date him only to be rejected by her.
Meanwhile, Amy realizes that she has fallen in love with Oliver, who has developed feelings for her as
well. When Mia returns to their hometown after successful heart surgery, they realize that Amy has
been following the wrong boy, and that the real Liam De Castro whom Mia loves is actually Oliver, a
confusion caused by the boy wearing his friend's school jacket bearing his name tag. Loyal to her friend,
and protective because of her health condition, Amy conceals that she loves the same Oliver. Then Amy
starts to avoid Oliver so that their blossoming relationship will end, but through Liam, Mia learns that
Oliver and Amy like each other. A tearful Mia tells Amy that she can give up Oliver for the sake of their
friendship.

Meanwhile, Oliver prepares to move back to New Zealand to resume life with his mother and younger
brother. On the day of his departure, with the help of Mia and Liam, Amy arrives at the train station just
in time for them to confess their feelings before separating. They maintain contact while Oliver plans to
attend university in their hometown. Without explanation, Oliver stops answering Amy's emails; she
never hears from him again. Heartbroken, confused, and angry, Amy tries to get over him.

Time passes as Amy attends university alumni and matures. In 2023, she receives an invitation to an art
exhibition from a person named Joseph, who turns out to be Oliver's younger brother, from whom she
learns that Oliver died all those years ago. Joseph thanks Amy for remembering Oliver and says that the
happiest moments in Oliver's short life were spent in her company. As the film ends, Amy views a video
made by Oliver that depicts their time together.
