METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the Research Design, Locale and Respondents

of the Study, Sampling procedure, Data Gathering procedure and Data

Analysis.

Research Design

The study will use a descriptive –qualitative research design because it

best serves to answer the research questions and the purpose of the study. A

descriptive –qualitative research is more an observing and surveying that best

suit the data gathering and data analysis procedure. It will help the students to

gather the data and to determine the impact of technology.

Locale and Respondents of the Study

The respondents of this study are the Senior High School students

under Academic Strands of the Kabacan National High School. The total

number of respondents are twenty-five (25).

Research Instrument

This study will utilize a self-made questionnaire to accomplish the

objectives of the study. The first part of the questionnaire are questions regarding

the socio-demographic profile of the respondents. The second part of the

questionnaire are questions necessary in determining the preparedness of the

students in the Notre Dame of Kabacan, Inc. Under Academic strands for

college.

Sampling Procedure

The researchers will employ purposive random sampling technique in

choosing the Senior High School Student of Kabacan National High School. it also

employs a proportionate procedure to ensure the proper distribution of survey

questionnaire to the respondents.

Data Gathering Procedure

In collection of the data needed for the study, the researchers will seek

permission from the head of office to conduct the study to the said location. Upon
approval, the researchers will personally distribute the survey questionnaire to the

respondents. After the data will be obtained, the researchers will analyze the

answered questionnaire using descriptive statistics the researchers, will interpret

the answers of the participants as part of study.

Data Analysis Procedure

Mouton and Marais (2001) describe data analysis as the process

whereby a phenomenon is broken down into its constituent in order for it

to be understood better. In this research a thematic analysis will be apply in this

study. From the data collected, the researcher highlighted similar concepts from

the statements or responses into codes, and identified meaningful themes or

categories. Themes are interpreted to come up with the description of the

phenomenon.
