The text :

Thomas Alva Edison was a famous American Scientist and businessman who has
been described as America’s greatest inventor. He was born on February 9th,1847 in
« Ohio », America. He started school when he was 8 years old, but he didn’t do well and
dropped out of school. He began to make experiments at home. At the age of twelve, he
became deaf, but he didn’t stop experimenting.

On December 9th,1914 an accident which destroyed Edison’s laboratory while he was

making experiments. He rebuilt the laboratory and went back to work.

Edison invented the first lamp in 1879.He also invented other succesful works like the
phonograph. He died on October 18th,1931 in USA leaving his name written on the pages of
history.
