imagine you're 16, it's summer you're out of school you're bored, a bit depressed and

looking for a hobby to spice up your life, so you grab your camera and start filming videos
of yourself. Soon they start gaining a lot of traction and within one year you move to Los
Angeles to pursue your career as an influencer, a year later you buy a four million dollar
house and then another year later you're walking all the red carpets dressed head to toe in
Louis Vuitton and Cartier but is it all a dream? is everything as perfect as it seems, today I
am going to talk about my favorite youtuber and her career evolution and how is it being a
YouTuber turned celebrity. looking at the evolution of Emma Chamberlain's career and
how she made the transition from a YouTuber to a celebrity I noticed how she differs from
other celebrities because she has stayed authentic and genuine throughout this whole
process. Emma Frances Chamberlain is an American YouTuber that started her channel
when she was 16 in the summer of 2017. Fast forward five years and Emma Chamberlain
has 11.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 16.1 million followers on Instagram. She is
the entrepreneur and creator behind the successful coffee company Chamberlain, she also
has a podcast called Anything Goes where, which I love and like the title says she talks
about almost anything and honestly, I is really good. It has an average of 1.1 million
listeners and a 4.8-star rating from sixty thousand listeners, Emma Chamberlin moved from
San Francisco to Los Angeles when she was 17, her beginnings where just her in her room
with a camera experimenting with different types of content, trying to figure out what she
wanted to do, for example hauls and just funny ideas that she had, her personality is what
really shines through those videos and is what kept people watching. and I think that has a
lot to do with the fact that Emma isn't really trying to be anyone other than herself, you can
tell that most of the time she just says what's on her mind, a stream of consciousness that
she doesn't really have a filter, she was just kind of an ordinary teenager that a lot of teens
could relate to, she really didn't have an extraordinary life and could make even the most
simple things entertaining this was all on summer 2017 after she dropped out of high school
because of her mental health, Emma continued on doing Vlogs where she was basically just
driving around San Francisco or the Bay Area going to coffee shops going thrift shopping
just talking in her car and people really loved it and how she found her comfort and
confidence with the success of her videos she moved to LA, because it is a place that is
known for really accelerating your career and this takes us to our next era, which could be
called like her most common comment, Emma LA changed you, so during that era, Emma's
content changed a lot, not only did she lose a little bit of relatability when she stopped
going to school, but now she lost even more relatability because she was 17 and living
away from home, which most people are not. she had a really big apartment in LA, she was
dating famous people. You could say she was really living life, but you could tell during
this time that Emma was kind of Battling Depression and her beautiful and funny
personality fading away, I think maybe the move was too hard for her. I guess her whole
life had to change, she was definitely feeling the pressures of YouTube during that time,
it’s like realizing it is her career, it is no longer just a hobby. During this time Emma just
kept pushing it and even when you could see she was struggling, as a product of her hard
work se moved to an awesome apartment but you could hear people often saying she was
losing even more relatability because people could tell how rich she was getting. People
started to notice that he was wearing a few more brands slowly she was losing her
identification factor but in my opinion it was selfish from her viewers at the time attacking
her for taking advantages of her opportunities and just wanting her to stay forever like this
16 year old living in her parents house, she had bigger plans, establishing herself in a new
place and a very competitive and difficult industry, you could see how she was growing and
focusing more on actual video content she liked, she also got her first magazine cover,
which was for Cosmopolitan, which was a big deal for her. She also went to Paris fashion
week for the first time. She also got her cats Declan and Frankie and after a rough time
battling with getting used to so much changes, trying to find yourself and people criticizing
every single move you make, everything stared going in the right way for her, then Emma
Chamberlain moved again and bought her first property in West Hollywood, before she was
always Vlogging her process of moving out and changing apartments really often where
you could see how stressful this was for her, I'd say this is probably my favorite era of her
because she's much more mature and she doesn't care as much about doing traditional
YouTube stuff, she 'd do videos about simple things she enjoys like making a cheese board,
her daily routines or just her and her cats, she also started doing a lot more fashion related
videos which makes sense because she started working a lot with Louis Vuitton going to
fashion shows fashion with them dressed in her clothes and in her advertisements and she
was also appearing on a lot more magazine covers and was really starting to slide into
celebrity status she also went to the Met Gala for the first time with Vogue interviewing
celebrities, that was a big deal, something that seems interesting is that Emma never makes
it seem so important, I’m sure she's grateful and appreciated but you can see her keep this
warm and down to earth personality. You can see she doesn't really care about having this
perfect polished look unlike many celebrities or influencers while this era of growing up
Emma is my favorite at home. I really enjoy watching her content because for me she is
really just like having the company of a friend, she is someone I really look up to and
inspires me because of how young she is and everything she has been able to go through,
heal and achieve amazing things in areas that interest me like the fashion industry and
entrepreneuring with her coffee company, podcast, modeling career and successful content,
I have seen her go through all of this and growing out if it, it fells refreshing watching her
grow and being in this new era posting and doing this new series of videos where she has
been posting mainly in Europe, the cinematography also feels really relaxing to watch her
videos, but also keeping then fun and adventurous with her beautiful personality.
