Genetics it shows that Human mitochondrial DNAs from 153 independent samples

encompassing seven Asian populations were surveyed for sequence variation using the polymerase chain reaction, restriction endonuclease analysisand oligonucleotide hybridization. All Asian populations were found to share two ancient Alul/ Ddel polymorphisms at nps 10394 and 10397 and to be genetically similar indicating that they share a common ancestry. The greatest mt DNA diversity and the highest frequency of mtDNA with hpal/Hincll morph 1 were observed in the Vietnamese, suggesting a Southern Mongoloid origin of Asians. Also, a research processed by HUGO (Human Genome Organization) scientifically points out to a single Asian migration from South East Asia travelling northwards slowly populating Southern parts of East Asia and then East Asia itself instead of the other way around. Also, a test done by Department of Anthropology, Pennsylvania State University, University Park;Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford, Oxford; and Department of Pathology, Louisiana State University Medical Center, New Orleans on the Taiwanese aboriginal tribes show that the genome sequence of the tribes and the SEAsian tribes are concordant sharing mtDNA identity. Thus we can conclude that the South East Asians shares homogeneous biological code from their origin, BCE 2000. A new investigative study, "Mapping Human Genetic Diversity in Asia" involving data collection from 73 ethnic groups in Southeast Asia and East Asia and carried out by 93 scientists from 40 institutions in 10 countries led by the Singapore-based Human Genome Organization (HUGO) Pan-Asian SNP Consortium, has found that by studying SNP (singlenucleotide polymorphism), which is the sequence variation in human genes, it can be demonstrated that east and south-east Asians share a common origin, - South East Asia and that previous theories about their migration movements were likely partly false. Traditionally, according to Dr Edison Liu, executive director at the Genome Institute of Singapore and president of HUGO, people had the wrong-headed notion that Asia was populated by two waves of migration. One wave was from Southeast Asia, called the Southern route, and the second from Central Asia, called the Northern route. However Dr Liu says that the new evidence points only to a single, Southeast Asian origin for Asians, that being northern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia, via a southern Indian coastal route from Africa.

Point of Rebuttals If we are looking at the genetic structure of Southeast Asian population, why are we taking the original human beings DNA structure into consideration? ANS: Since we are focusing on the homogenity of the SEA, we strongly believe that the house must focus on the populations genetic structure, rather than discussing whether the origin of the features are worthy of arguing on. Also, if you are urging to do the opposite, we should state the fact that the origin is the backbone of the whole culture, whether SEA or other nations.

The Genetic structure is so different so we cannot say that the DNA structure is homogeneous. ANS: DNA structure is apparently different as evidently shown at the details. However, Are their genomic structure heterogeneous, just by the fact that they are different? They are homogeneous, much similar. No one in this house and the audiences will disagree that the identical twins are homogeneous. However, their DNA structure has a difference pretty much that of the percentage of indigenous SEAsians. Their DNA structure part them on their mindset, learning abilities and even their fingerprints. NOTHING in this universe can be identical. As quoted from the research done by American Journal of Human Genetics, 3 rd March 2008. - But according to new research, though identical twins share very similar genes, identical they are not. The discovery opens a new understanding of why two people who hail from the same embryo can differ in phenotype, as biologists refer to a persons physical manifestation. Ethical/ Moral values : South East Asian has a lot in common in terms of their ethical values. They have respect to their elders. Originated from Indian religion, Buddhism, which later traveled to China before landing at SEA. It also proving that South East Asian culture had various influences from China and further from India. In Buddhism, we called this value, xiao to have filial piety and respect towards elderly, especially ones from your family. Also, South East Asian nations are family oriented. They have a strong devotion towards their family members, accepting the responsibility of their familys well-being. Religion: we can say that religiously devoted South East Asians believe in a spiritual being which will promise their familys prosperity and illuminate their path leading to the heaven.

Just an additional information: (parliamentary debate formation) Sequence of the debate Proposition 1st speaker explain and define the motion 2 Main points of the motion. prepare the reply for the Opp 1s rebuttals 2nd speaker rebuttal to Opp 1 key arguments (summarize beforehand) 1 or 2 main points of the motion prepare the reply for the Opp 2s rebuttals 3rd speaker rebuttal to Opp 1 and 2 key arguments 1 main argument of the motion prepare the reply for the Opp 3s rebuttals 4th speaker rebuttal to Opp 1,2 and 3 key arguments 1 main argument of the motion prepare the reply for the Opp 4s rebuttals 5th speaker rebuttal to Opp 1,2,3, and 4 key arguments 1 main argument of the motion (SHORT!!!)

sum up the whole motion and persuade the audience that the house would like to emphasize that SEA is homogeneous.
