Worship is the act of showing devotion to God.
WORSHIP IN GHANA

Ghana has three main religions.

They Christian, Islamic and the Traditional religion.

But the Christian and Traditional religion,

worship by dancing and singing.

They all pray by reciting.

But some study holy writings

Christ.

THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST
Christianity was founded by Jesus.
An Angel of God told Joseph and Mary.
That Jesus will be born by Mary,
He shall be great.
His kingdom shall not fade.
Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem.
He was visited by shepherds and wise men.
To God Angels came from heaven to praise.
Little Jesus! Herod could not slay.
At Nazareth Jesus was raised.
Jesus grew in God’s grace.
In the spirit was he great,
and to Him wisdom God gave.

THE BIRTH OF PROPHET MOHAMMED

Mohammed founded the Islamic Religion

He was a messenger of Allah.

He was born in Mecca

Abdulai, his father died before he was born.

His mother Amina died when he was six years.

He then stayed with his uncle.

Religion

STORY OF THE TRADITIONAL RELIGION IN GHANA

The Traditional Religion has no founder.

The religion is practised by all tribes of Ghana.

They believe in a Supreme God as the creator.

But worship God through smaller gods who are lesser.

Ewe, Akans, Guan and Gonja,

Ga-Adangbe, and Mole-Dagbani,

are the Ethnic groups who worship,

through their tradition and culture.

Children run errands and help wash clothes.

Children help clean the house and wash bowls.

Let’s all play our roles,

To have a happy home.
