Training Catalog User Guide 2023

GENERAL
Our Application Specialists working in the EEMEA Region, conduct a large training course
portfolio organized by the Dubai Training Center. This team is experienced and skilled, having at
least one member working for each division, already certified.

All training courses described are given in Dubai, UAE or online. We also included in this
catalog, the trainings provided by the IH and ID divisions in Cressier, Switzerland and Marnes La
Coquette, France.

Training Catalog List for 2023.
Participating in these trainings is a great opportunity to enhance your competence and
knowledge.

LANGUAGE
All our training courses are generally conducted in the English language.

The Catalog contains:

• On-site Training Courses

The participant signs up by selecting the division and then the Face to Face format on the
Training Registration Form. For IH and ID you also will find a link to register in Cressier and
Marnes La Coquette, in case you prefer to do the trainings in these locations. This submission
should be made as soon as possible, preferably 2 months in advance.
The Catalog contains:
• Online Training Courses

The participant, who wishes to follow the course, selects the division and then the Online
format, and fills out the Training Registration Form. For IH and ID you also will find a link to
register in Cressier and Marnes La Coquette, in case you prefer to attend the done by the
divisions. This submission should be made as soon as possible.

The Dubai Training Center will organize the hotel bookings and the local transfers for
you. Information regarding the hotel reservation and journey to Dubai will be sent to you
with the training course confirmation.
If you need a Visa to travel to Dubai, the required information for the invitation letter will
be asked with the training confirmation.

Rules

1. Registration deadline is 2 weeks before the training course begins for the Online format
and 8 weeks before the face to face format trainings.
2. The training course will be confirmed to the participants. Please do not make any
definitive flight bookings before receiving the training course confirmation because
if the minimum quantity of participants is not reached, the training course will be
cancelled.
3. If the maximum quantity of participants has been exceeded, the Dubai Training Center
reserves the right to refuse certain registrations as we would like to guarantee our high
standard training course quality.
4. Certification of each Training Course depends on the outcome of the following points
verified during the training:

• Presence for the entire training course

• Practical Tests (where applicable)
• Trainer’s perception
5. The hotel costs are always to be paid by the participant (although on visa invitation
letters we may state otherwise where required locally).
6. Make sure that you can give your full attention to the course during the session.
7. Provide for a quite environment, ideally you are equipped with headsets for better
sound.
8. Webcam availability and ready to be used according to instructions during the sessions

Application Specialist Requirements:

To provide quality training courses and efficient service to our partners, please ensure
that the following minimum requirements are implemented in the selection process
for Field Application Specialists to attend the trainings:

English language (very important)

• Ability to speak and read technical English
• Ability to work with English manuals and software
Personal requirements
• Ability to travel and attend training courses
• Ability to act independently
• Flexibility
Laboratory requirements
• Laboratory experience
• Basic theoretical background about the specific division
• Bio Rad portfolio knowledge recommended
Knowledge of personal computers
• Basic Microsoft Windows user knowledge
• Windows Explorer
• basic hardware and networking knowledge
• Software installation (optional)
Other sources of Training

Bio Rad has available online trainings dedicated to IDD that can done on
demand, by requesting access to one of our FAS.

• In a monthly basis, we launch a new topic on the Time for Skills Growth that happens
every last Thursday of the month. Invitations are being send one week in advance.

On demand
We are open to organize special face to face training sessions for a significant number of
trainees, if needed. Your manager should contact us directly with the request.
Regarding distance learning courses, we are also open to organizing additional courses for a
significant number of trainees, if needed. Your manager should contact us directly with the
