    The elements of design will be practiced by color is expressed freely with the use of watercolor. Students will be useing their

    own choice to experience blending and variation of color tone. With the pracitice of oil pastels , students can develop the sense

    of value in shading from a light source, and realizing shadowing of high and low lighted areas.

    Creating line in thin and fat forms, using the oil pastel gives a smooth flow to a variety of different line, from crooked, straight

    or twisted. By creating depth and perspective with a one point perspective idea of placing images in the background and

    forground helps create awareness. This assignment can be used with 5th grade- 7th grade. It shows a wide range

    of ways students can practice with 2 different kinds of media and still feel comfortable with outcome of the project.
