The table shows the frequency and percentage distribution of respondents according to age. Out of
10 respondents, the majority of respondents (100%) fall under the age bracket of 18 years old. The least
frequency is both 0% which is both 17 and 19 years old.

This age level has the capability of analysing the situation logically in terms of cause and effect.
Also this age bracket can make a mature decision making at the same time some needs guidance from
adults.
2. What is the level of awareness in marriage equality?

constitutional rights. Out of 10 respondents majority say yes (100%) that they believe in equal rights.

The struggle of LGBT+ people for equal rights has moved to center stage they battling not just in
congress, in courtroom but also in streets. LGBT people continue to face real discrimination in all areas of
life.

beliefs, majority say yes (100%) that it needed to consider before allowing same-sex marriage in our
country.

Throughout the century some countries has been allowing same-sex marriage. They are part of our
growing population but they still not yet given the same rights.

The table shows the frequency and percentage distribution of respondents according to their
opinion about marriage equality. In question 1 out of 10 respondents 60% of the respondents disagree on
legalizing same-sex marriage here in our country. Majority of the respondents see that same sex marriage
is still unseemly topic for them.

In question 2 out of 10 respondents, 60% of the respondents agree that same-sex marriage is
against their religious beliefs. A lot of people here in our country have a strong religious belief that’s why
same-sex marriage is still prohibited in our country.

In question 3 out of 10 respondents, 60% of the respondents did not agree that same-sex couple
should marry. We all have different perspective when it comes to these issues. Traditionally marriage is
between one man and one woman.

In question 4 out of 10 respondents, 60% of the respondents agree that marriage is for men and
women. The institution of marriage as a union of a man and women, uniquely involving the procreation and
learning of children within a family, is as old as the book of Genesrs (Baker V. Nelson,
gaymarriage.procon.org2021)

In above all respondents answer majority say that same-sex marriage shouldn’t be legalized in the
Philippines, because it will lose the original meaning of marriage. There were things that we cannot
immediately push through; sometimes we just need to wait until the process is done.

● SOP 1: What are the positive and negative views of society in terms of religious and constitutional
issues about marriage equality in the Philippines?
- The positive effect is people are aware that they existed and a lot of people giving them the
equality that they deserve while the negative effects is that our constitutional, religious beliefs
are getting against

 SOP 2: Does LGBTQIA+ couples make a good parent?


- Yes, throughout the world, same-sex couples form and build long-lasting families. Many same
sex couples have children, some couples and individuals have used assisted reproduction in
order to conceive a child. Other LGBTQ+ people are raising children from previous opposite-sex
relationship on their own or with their new partners. As people become more educated and
society’s attitudes continue to change, adoption of children by LGBTQ+ couples is becoming
more common.(Litchman, Owen, Sasse, 2019)

- Yes, there is significant relationship between religious beliefs, constitutional issues and society's
perspective.

 SOP4: What recommendation would be used based on the findings?


- Humanity need to view that same sex marriage is not impure to our morals instead we need to
see this as pure freedom of expression between a person. If we society consider same sex
marriage maybe it will help us every individual to unite and build a powerful future for the next
generations.

Good day! I’m Sofia Keith R. Enggay student in Baybayin National High School currently taking
Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand. The primary aim of this questionnaire is to assess the
Social views on religious beliefs and constitutional issues about marriage equality in the Philippines year
2020-2022. The questionnaire shall be completed by a randomly selected stratified sample of learners in an
institution. Protecting the privacy of the respondent is important, all personal information will be kept
