HF0802-H0802D1 Geological Proposal

1. Introduction & Objectives

Hartha A limestone reservoir is proven oil-bearing in Halfaya Field by first test in
HF001-M267 in February 2012. According to FDPR1, its OOIP is 299 MMB which
accounts for 1.6% of the total OOIP of Halfaya oilfield.
Based on development plan in FDPR1, horizontal producers and corresponding injectors
are recommended for Hartha A reservoir.
According to the well pattern of Hartha reservoir recommended in FDPR1 and recent
technical study, HF0802-H0802D1 is planned as a producer with the following
objectives:
1. To produce oil from Hartha A reservoir;
2. To systematically collect data from all penetrated oil-bearing reservoirs for reservoir
study.
As a cluster well, HF0802-H0802D1 is designed as a deviated hole to penetrate
the main Hartha reservoir with a total depth of 3319m MDRT (-2703m TVDSS).

3. Reservoir Features
The oil bearing area of Hartha A reservoir is 103.8sqkm. Strong heterogeneity is identified
both in reservoir and fluid properties with high GOR volatile oil in the crest area and normal
black oil in the flank.
Average net pay of Hartha A reservoir is 7.7m. Its porosity ranges 8%~32% with averaging
18.3%, while permeability varies between 0.1 mD and 185 mD. Its pore types mainly include
intraparticle pore, moldic pore, intergranular pore and microporosity pore.
Based on wireline logging interpretation, the Hartha A reservoir property (Net
payTVD/Porosity/Sw) of adjacent wells are as follows :
HF081-N081: 10.6m/22.1%/39.8%;
HF0888-M0888D1: 12.1m/22.0%/29.5%;
HF7635-M7635D2: 10.1m/17.8%/46.3%;
HF0726-M0726D5: 11.8m/17.8%/44.7%.
Based on geological model, the prognosis at proposed well: 14.1m/21.7%/36.1%.

5. Reservoir Pressure and Production Estimation

This well will be completed in Hartha A reservoir and the estimated formation pressure and
production are as below:
The nearby producers may result in pressure depletion in H0802D1. Based on the MDT
pressure, static pressure and simulation results, the estimated formation pressure around
H0802D1 is about 3,500psi currently.
Based on GGRE understanding, production performance of adjacent wells and
simulation results, the estimated initial oil rate is 1000-1500 BOPD.

6. Risk and Uncertainties

There are uncertainties in structure depth, reservoir heterogeneity and the estimated initial oil
production rate.

13. Well Control Specification and Risk Identification

1). Well Site Environment: H0802D1 is the 3rd well drilling from pad HF0802,which is far
away from village, school, public road and power line, and outside of buffer zone.
2). Wellbore Structure: refer to section 9 for casing program depth design. For more details
regarding wellbore structure design please refer to drilling program report.
3). Stratigraphic Lithology: refer to the table in section 7 for formation top prognosis and
lithology distribution. Section 14.6 provides the detailed designed well trajectory data.
4). Formation Pressure and Temperature: refer to the table in section 7. 5).
Production and Fluid Properties: refer to section 4.
6). Relevant HSSE procedures must be followed when drilling begin. During drilling the
8½” main holes with 1.23-1.24 mud weight, partial to severe mud loss and well flowing were
often observed beginning from Jaddala. Therefore, precautions and proper measures should
be considered during drilling design and operation to
ensure safety.
