 ABOUT
Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British
author J. K. Rowling. The novels chronicle the lives of a young wizard,
Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all
of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry. The main story arc concerns Harry's struggle against Lord
Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal,
overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic.
 ABOUT
This is my all-time favourite series because I enjoy watching the
movies since I was a little girl, Harry Potter is my childhood and
lifestyle. I have also read the books and I much favor the novel series
rather than the movies as there are scenes in the books that are not
shown in the movies. The story plot and everything, I feel connected
with the characters as if I have grown with them and died with them.
 THE AUTHOR
Joanne Rowling born 31 July 1965, also known by her
pen name J. K. Rowling, is a British author and
philanthropist. She wrote Harry Potter, a
seven-volume children's fantasy series published
from 1997 to 2007. The series has sold over 500
million copies, been translated into at least 70
languages, and spawned a global media franchise
including films and video games.

Houses at Hogwarts were both the living and learning communities for its students. Each year's
group of students in the same House shared the same dormitory and many classes. The houses
competed throughout the school year, by earning and losing points for behavior.
I belong in this house and I really do fit well in it. Gryffindor is my whole personality.

Gryffindor valued bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry. Its
emblematic animal was the lion, and its colors were scarlet
and gold.

 Harry Potter books and movies shaped me to the person I am today, it has
taught me many lessons and many wise advice, enhanced my imagination
and is my safe place. Whenever I get nervous or face a problem that I don’t
think I can handle, I always remember Hagrid once said "What's comin' will
come, an' we'll meet it when it does." And it would reassure me that
everything will be fine and that no situation will forever stay the same, it
will change. Harry’s last scene of the movie series is a bittersweet ending, I
felt so much mixed emotions the first time I read the ending of the last Harry
Potter book. Harry Potter isn’t just any story, it’s life that I lived with its
characters whom I go on adventures with, cried with, laughed with and died
with and all of my best memories are with them. This feeling right now feels
so nostalgic as if a memory of a past life came back to me.

I am grateful to you ma’am for giving this topic for our journal which have
awakened my childhood memories and good times and my inner potterhead
self that I buried deep in me to focus on the real world. It’s nice to feel this
even for just a short period of time, I may be very busy nowadays to rewatch
the movies or reread the books but at least I know that this fantasy world
will always be a big part of me.
 I would like to dedicate this slide to Robbie Coltrane, a Scottish
actor and comedian. He gained worldwide recognition as Rubeus
Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series.
He died on October 14 2022 at age 72, He is a great actor and will be
missed.
Hogwarts won’t be the same without you, Hagrid. Rest in Peace my
favourite giant /*.
