1.0 BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Tyretec services is a standard tire retail shop. The business will deal mainly in selling tires and
offering services like Tire installations, refilling tires, etc. The business will also be involved in
retailing new passenger vehicle tires, used passenger vehicle tires and heavy duty vehicle tires like
trucks.

1.1 BUSINESS NAME

The name of the business is Tyretec Services.

1.2 BUSINESS LOCATION AND ADDRESS

1.2.1 Business allocation

The business will be located in Murang’a county, Gatanga; Gatanga shopping Center. The choice of
the location was contributed by the availability of the vehicles in the surroundings, busy roads and
the ideal location is near truck stops and gas stations.

1.3 OWNERS PROFILE AND BACKGROUND

The owner of the proposed business will be Victor Ndung’u kamau and shall also be the manager.
Age 20 years and I reside from Kenol, Thika and am currently pursuing Certificate in Information
Communication technology in Thika Technical Training Institute. From the year 2003-2011 I was in
Blessed academy where I attained KCPE certificate. From the year 2011 to 2015 I enrolled in Kirogo
boys High school and I attained KCSE certificate.

I grew up in a car loving environment and learned everything about cars from my peers giving me
knowledge of what car owners interest in tires lies.

1.4 FORM OF OWNERSHIP

The business will be a sole proprietorship form of business where owner will be Victor Ndung’u
Kamau as the Manager. The choice occurred because; profits are entirely on the owner hands, there
is freedom of action and control of your business.

1.5 TYPE OF BUSINESS

The proposed business will be a startup since it’s going to start from zero. The business will enjoy
capital from Owners savings, Bank loan, Friends and Relatives.
1.6 PRODUCT OR SERVICES

Will be providing the following services:

I. Tire installation
II. Tire changing
III. Tire Refill and inspections services to our customers.
IV. sell wide range of top quality tires from top Brands in all sizes, shape and color.
V. Offer payment services like Via Mpesa, cash, credit cards and checks.
VI. Offer prices and top quality tires that are obtainable to all our customers.
VII. Offer warranty to our products and guarantee covers to damages on our products during
delivery.

1.7 INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

The proposed business falls under Transport Industry. The industry is involved in provision of
services like tire installation, refilling, Tire inspection and changing hence will need a pool of
workers to provide essential Service. Therefore, the industry will look to offer New Quality
services and products to attract more customers.

It’s a medium sized industry that will steadily grow into a big empire and provide employment to
the unemployed.

The industry will draw an objective that is to provide the most affordable, standard, quality and
safest services to the industry. The goals are to earn a return on the investment.

Within the period of 2-3 years, the business will look to open more branches to expand the
business.

Organizations. This indicates that there are still unsatisfied demands to customers therefore
Tyretec services gains an assurance that its services will be a demand.

The site of the business builds confidence of its success since there is large number of business
opportunities visually due to high demand from customers.

1.10 ENTRY AND GROWTH STRATEGY

In order to grow, Tyretec services will employ informed and skilled labors who will provide good
services to the business. To enter the new markets, the business will research and know of its
competitors and their products so as to be one step ahead.

To enable growth of the business, products of different varieties will be sold, employ workers of
high level of knowledge and advanced technology will be used.
