INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study

Visitors and guests of Cagwait White Beach have

increased yearly. However, the visitors and guests cannot
transact online reservation, bookings etc. because there
are a few resorts and accommodation around the Cagwait
Beach that are not available online for transaction. One
of these is the Yanto Beach Haus. The Yanto Beach Haus is
located in the heart of Cagwait beach, just a foot steps
away and overlooking the beach front. They offer
accommodation services open 24/7, food and beverages. At
present, the Yanto Beach Haus accepts online reservations
using a personal facebook account, however, they wanted
to improve it.
Therefore, Web-based Reservation of Yanto Beach Haus
will be created for the visitors and guests or customers.

Used as an immediate conversation and to turn the
visitors and guests to prospects. And these will be
utilized for services better and intended for a safe and
easy way of online transactions that include reservation,
booking and paying.
Web-based reservations are becoming a very popular
method for booking hotel rooms. Travelers and other
potential customers can book rooms from home by using an
online security to protect their privacy.
The researchers believe that the knowledge gained in
the development of the system will be an effective tool
in providing the needed IT skills of the students in the
industries. It will be beneficial to the University since
the use of the system as a teaching tool will improve the
delivery of instruction and prove to be cost-efficient.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

Yanto Beach Haus is one of the facilities or

businesses in Cagwait Beach which offers accommodation ,
food and beverage services, etc. Without the online
platform of Yanto Beach Hauz is the primary problem to be
addressed by this study.

Specific problem are the following:

1. At present, Yanto beach Hauz accepts reservations
using a personal facebook account but most of
the time they accept reservations in Face-to-

 face or with physical appearance of the customer
because of the lack of a web-based platform.
2. Sometimes the Yanto Beach Haus has no customers
that affect their daily income because presently

they don’t have a platform where they can promote

and can create advertisements for their business.

1.3 Objectives of the Problem

This study aims to provide a cost effective web-

based reservation solution for Yanto Beach Haus by using
open source software to bridge the reservation gap
between Yanto Beach Haus and its potential customers.
Provide a useful, informative, web-based solution for
Yanto Beach Haus and its potential customers, which will
contain all the necessary details, to ensure easy,
convenient and better services.

Specifically, this study aims to develop the

following:

1. To design a web-based reservation of Yanto beach

Hauz.

2. To provide features that will familiarize Yanto

Beach Hauz and potential customers with the web-
based reservation.

 3. To evaluate the system and highlight the benefits
the system can provide to Yanto Beach Hauz and its
potential Customers.

1.4 Scope and Limitations of the study

This study focuses on developing Web-based

reservation of Yanto Beach Haus to have fast, easy and
convenient transactions for booking and/or reservation.
The process requires interaction and information exchange
between the customer and the system by filling out an
enquiry form. There will be scope in the development and
capabilities of the web-based. Some of these are the only
authorized personnel of Yanto Beach Haus who can edit
information, post updates and activities, and can reply
to messages of the potential customer. The user can only
create one account in one email at a time. And only the
user who has an account can access the web-based.
This web-based is for booking and reservation of
accommodation and venue, paying, and for promoting Yanto
Beach Haus and Tourism of Cagwait purpose only. And
unrelated activities will not be accommodated and will be
restricted. Whereas, the capabilities of web-based it can
provide up-to-date updates, activities, amenities and
services offered by Yanto Beach Haus through updating
and posting.

1.5 Significance of the study

This study is of utmost importance to Yanto Beach

Haus, Visitors and Guests and the future researcher as
well.

Municipality of Cagwait: This study will become one of

the platforms to promote tourist destinations in the
municipality like Yanto beach hauz.

Yanto Beach Haus: This study will minimize complaints to

the Beach Haus because this web-based website can ensure
better services. It also increases visibility and
improves conversions.

Visitors and Guests/Potential Customers of Yanto Beach

Haus: This study will be very useful to the prospective
visitors or guests of Yanto Beach Haus because they have
immediate and 24/7 access to book and reserve.

Resorts in Cagwait White Beach: This study will be the

example for them to apply an online platform for their
business.

For the future researchers: The study will help them

uncover new knowledge specifically in web-based
reservation.
