FIRST STORY

Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you
have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your
gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the
difference in my life.

SECOND STORY

I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over. Sometimes life hits you in the
head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved
what I did. You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you
believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it
yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like
any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it.
Don’t settle.

THIRD STORY

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is
living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your
own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They
somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

“Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.
And I have always wished that for myself.

NOTE:

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is
living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your
own inner voice.

Steven Paul Jobs is a co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc., NeXT Inc., and Pixar
Animations Studio. He is an American entrepreneur, industrial designer, business magnate,
media proprietor and investor. He had been adopted. her biological mother is a recent graduate
who is single. Her mother decided to place the child for adoption and feels that a college
graduate should make the placement. When Steve came, out the lawyer and his wife realized
they truly wanted a girl instead of the boy they planned to adopt. The following couple, who
failed to conceive, had the opportunity to adopt Steve. When it was learned that neither of the
couple had a college degree, Steve’s biological mother refused to sign the adoption paperwork.
He tells three stories about his life in the video I saw of his commencement speech at Starvard
University. Putting the Pieces Together (Connecting the Dots), Love & Loss, and Death.
On his first story about connecting the dots he share “you can’t connect the dots looking
forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will
somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life,
karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my
life.” In addition, he share about Love & Loss, I remember about he said, “I had been rejected,
but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a
brick. Don’t lose faith.” No matter how hard the situation is don’t lose faith, as long as you love
what you’re doing in your life, keep on going even do it’s hard. Furthermore, on his last story he
shared about death. “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” While we
are still living, cherish every moment, because you won’t know what the future has in store for
you. Do things that you need to do while we still have enough time.
The speech by Steven Jobs was quite inspiring. In his speeches, he excels at motivating
us with real-life examples. He related intimate stories from his life. He wants us to understand
how crucial it is to treat every day as though it were our last. He hopes to motivate people to
work toward their objectives. I watched the speech with curiosity and some thinking. That’s
because I started to question the steps I’m doing to achieve my goals and direct my life in the
appropriate way. The lesson I gain is never give up and to have the courage to fix the things that
are preventing me from being successful. This has inspired me, along with how I’ve managed the
future and prepared myself for success in the present. It was important for me to become aware
of aspects of myself that I was previously unaware of.
