Utilizamos “too” al final de la oración y “also” en el medio de la


misma.
Bill is
Ted is also a pilot.

Bill can
Ted can also fly a plane.

Bill flew
Ted yesterday.
also flew

Examples:
 I´m tired. She´s also tired.
 Sam will be a pilot. Peter will also be a pilot.
 Mary wants cake for dessert. John also wants cake for dessert.
 Mrs. Wilson bought some meat at the supermarket. She also bought
some fruit there.
 My father likes bananas. My brother too. My mother also likes
bananas.
INDIRECT
OBJECTS
Some verbs are followed by two objects, a direct object and an indirect object.

When the indirect object is second, the prepositions “to” and “for” are often used.

Direct Object Indirect Object


John sent a postcard to Tom.
to him.
Sally got a ticket for Ann.
for her.

Indirect Object Direct Object


John sent Tom a postcard.
him

Sally got Ann a ticket.


her

Examples:

I gave ten dollars to Paul. I gave Paul ten dollars.


Tom´s brother bought a new radio for him. Tom´s brother bought him a new
radio.
They want to buy dinner for us tonight. They want to buy us dinner tonight.
