CULTURAL VALUE MANIFESTATION


1. Flexible She is flexible enough to study in manila
while taking care of her children.
2. Ability to Survive and Thrive Back then she survived all the criticism about
her marriage status and manage to find the
one that who truly cares for her.
3. Education and Multilingualism She managed to get a master’s degree and a
degree in law because she faced disapproval
about her education involved in her business.
4. Hard Work and Industriousness Instead of hiring another worker, she then did
the job herself.
5. Matipid When her husband wanted to buy a car as a
transportation for work, she then bought him
instead a bicycle and later a jeep.

FILIPINO VALUES
Pagdamay- showing sympathy and grief. E.g., Going to a funeral of friend’s family.
Pagtitimpi- holding or suppressing anger. E.g., Your instructor is blaming you for that thig that
you did not actually did, but because she is older than you, you chose to hold back your feelings.
Samahan- to accompany someone or to go with someone. E.g., Your friend is going to mall
alone and you decided to go with him/her.
Promote Social Mobility- to move lower level to higher. E.g., Education, Social Status
Pakikibagay- Being along with. To fit in. E.g., Changing the way you dress to fit in one group.
Sipag- hard working or diligence in work. E.g., A student that always read textbooks.
Madaling Makagaan ng Loob- Somen who get easily attached. E.g., A Filipino meets another
Filipino in other country.
