General Information
Course Goal
Throughout this course, students should be able to design, develop, and assess a mobile
application for use in education.
Course Understanding
Students will understand that mobile learning can be effective and beneficial in education.
Essential Questions
 What are the current trends and issues with online learning in education?
 What current technologies are available for mobile learning?
 What are the pros and cons of mobile learning and how can those cons be addressed or
improved?
 How can a mobile application be designed and developed to be user-friendly and able
to facilitate learning?

Students will be skilled at:


 Identifying effective and ineffective mobile applications/technologies used in
education.
 Creating an online educational course.
 Designing/Developing a mobile learning application for the chosen course that will
facilitate learning.
 Assessing the effectiveness of mobile learning applications.
